Graphic Design for Litho and Digital Printing
With over 12 years experience in designing for print I have gained a sound knowledge of the printing process. I frequently have to advise other graphic designers in setting up their designs for the lithographic printing process. In my experience newly graduated designers are generally not familiar with the requirements for setting up designs for the printing process and it can be quite confusing if you are not familiar with it.
If you require smaller quantities of print then digital printing is probably the more cost effective solution. This method of printing is more forgiving regarding colours ie. CMYK/RGB but there are a few guidelines which you should follow which differ from litho printing to get the best results, so it is best to know what type of printing will be required before a design project is started. If you are not sure then I can advise on the best solution for your individual printing needs.
On this site there are some useful articles dealing with the subject of getting the right outcome from printing and setting designs up for the printing process along with other graphic design and website design related subjects, I hope you find them useful...
Whatever your requirements I can help you achieve the style that you want an you can be confident that your design will be ready for print. If you require printing services or would just like to compare prices I can offer you a very reasonable quote.
